Helen's young husband, a prominent consultant surgeon, died suddenly at Christmas. One year on and still grieving she decides to spend the festive season away from family and friends, with her little dog for company Helen heads for the West Coast. As darkness falls she feels exhausted and disorientated. A beautiful Manor House in rural Wales seems to appear from nowhere. Helen is welcomed by Mrs Tisdale and her son Gideon with whom she falls in love. However, Gideon is not all he appears to be.
