The Hotel Maldonado has stood for over a century in the San Diego area and with that history comes a mix of tales both fascinating and frightening. Although the Staff and Management have long become accustomed to strange things that go bump in the night, in recent years, a recent spate of ghostly encounters have driven many of their clientele to move to more modern accommodations. Chasing answers to difficult questions is hard enough for Fuller Foundation investigators Ted Knowles and Dan Grazzini, but when The Hotel Maldonado requests their help with unexplained incidents that have plagued the victorian hotel over the years, the scientist and security expert find themselves dealing with more than a mere haunted hotel. Armed with high-tech equipment and an inability to give up, they take on the case and stick with it even when one of them falls into a mysterious coma with no medical explanation. Dan Grazzini is down, struck unconscious by an unknown malady that leaves him comatose in a local hospital while Ted Knowles undertakes a historical quest that dogs his efforts at every stage. Can Knowles save his friend or will he be forced to watch as Hotel Maldonado's paranormal past claims another victim?
