The vicious murder of a young woman has been uncovered along the train tracks of a quiet, peaceful town. Not a single clue is left behind, except for a taunting message left by the killer. Strange marks on the victim’s body baffle the police, but they become more puzzled after the autopsy reveals she has been dead for more than three months. Four other girls have also disappeared into the darkness of the night without a trace. Detective Lance Thompson and his new colleague have been assigned the inconceivable responsibility of solving the crime. When another butchered body shows up, Thompson and his partner soon realize they are dealing with a maniac with no regard to rules. The killer is tantalizing an already devastated city. He is challenging the police to ascertain his identity, and even when they do, to make an arrest. If that’s not enough, Thompson is soon faced with a decision that could change not only the investigation, but also the way life itself is perceived. He discovers that the young girls are being buried alive in shallow graves, supplied only with two-way radios. Their location is unknown. The only way they can communicate is through the radio, but they themselves don’t know where they are. When Thompson finally discovers who is responsible for the cruel punishment, an even more horrifying nightmare is unfolded. His own daughter has joined the ranks of the buried alive. Thompson finds himself battling against everything he has learned as an officer of the law, knowing he has to guard the perpetrator from the police in order for him to keep his daughter alive. When his time runs out and the only person that knows where the girl’s are buried is killed, it becomes a deadly race against time.
