Never Last: Mr. Pennyworth

Never Last is a dark absurdist fantasy of vivid description and break-neck pacing. It is the story of five groups of individuals spread through five locations in North America as the modern-day world simultaneously transforms, without warning or reason, into a fantasy of dark elves, dwarfs, goblins, vampires and wizards. The five stories can be found in four forms. Read them as singles, doubles, trios or all five in parallel, each for a different experience. No Woman’s an Island - A young yoga student must accept her newfound dark elf powers as she searches for her family in an increasingly threatening fantasy, will her inner darkness grow to eclipse her into a malevolent force to be reckoned with or will her outbursts of violence protect those close to her. The Waking Flame – A pair of coal miners fend off daily boredom while striving to survive when their new dwarf bodies change everything about their daily lives. They can either find a way to protect themselves and their town of dwarfs or leave the heart of their existence behind, but much is brewing deep within the mountain and outside their West Virginia town. Mr. Pennyworth – A bank manager, a Vegas Casino worker and a pet store employee from Mexico battle to the top of goblins hordes as they try to consolidate power. Who will rise and who will fall? Who will be the King or Queen of them all? Waves Upon Waves – A god of the ocean rises to meet the love of his life, only to find his duties as king of the Caribbean ruining his newfound relationship. Will he battle the oncoming threat or throw away his title to follow the marine biologist he loves? All the President’s Men – President Humpty attempts to pull what’s left of the United States together as his body falls apart. Does he have enough to unite a fragmented world with greed and stubbornness or will freedom and chaos destroy the United States forever?
