The Ones Who Serve

This is Book 3 in the Braykith Series and is not a stand-alone book. The citizens that reside by the Braykith castle are suffering a new danger they are not equipped to understand or fight. Living in the shadow of a dangerous king is a fate they had accepted. The continued disappearance of their neighbours has now reached a frightening peak. Moreover, to some of the people, it appears that their King is merely allowing the disappearances to occur without consequence or investigation. Evangeline knows this accusation is not true, but she does not try and calm the allegations that are nearing the castle. Her focus is closer to home. Her parents, the changes to her home manor in Crimah, and the fate of her brother, plague the young princess. She feels helpless and betrayed by those closest to her, and she turns to the most unlikely of allies. Momentarily free from the castle’s shadowed halls, Evangeline and Glais grow closer as the township is torn apart. ------------ This book is written in Australian English and self-published.
