Before Captain America and The Human Torch, Marvel Comics founder Martin Goodman had his stable of writers and artists working on his "Red Circle" line of pulps. Red Circle amped up the "weird" in weird menace and his covers and stories were always way over the top in gore and sex. Arthur J. Burks supplies one of the few recognizable names in the issue, filled with bondage, sex and redemption.
