In this first volume of 'The Haunting of Beckett Manor', Thomas, a servant of the Beckett family, finds himself facing more than his everyday issues of discrimination and ridicule from the other members of the manor’s staff. His blooming friendship with the lovely daughter of Lord and Lady Beckett, Iris, doesn’t help his situation either as the eyes of those above him follow him everywhere. However, something darker and more sinister than any of those problems lurks within the manor’s walls and even beyond them at the nearby black and murky mire. A feeling of sadness haunts the manor, tainting a once lively and beautiful place with horrors that are unknown to most for the time being. Strange things keep happening that are unexplainable to Thomas and Iris, but they’re determined to solve this mystery and find out just what is making nights at the manor so terrifying. If it doesn’t cost them their lives first.
