This small collection of five supernatural stories, first published in 1994, has become something of a legend in its own lifetime.Originally conceived as a Christmas collection for members of The Ghost Story Society, LADY STANHOPE'S MANUSCRIPT was the first publication by Ash-Tree Press. 150 copies were printed and those became highly sought by collectors: more and more so as the Press developed its list of titles. These days the original still demands prices of several hundred dollars. The five stories are traditional ghostly tales: 'The Little Ghost' by Katherine Haynes; 'The Border Stones' by Christopher Roden; 'The Gift' by G. W. Howarth; 'Lady Stanhope's Manuscript' by Dale J. Nelson; and 'Traditional Christmas' by Tina Rath.
