After a near-fatal car wreck, Cecil Norton, a struggling writer acquires double vision and his girlfriend Beverly Wilson ends up in the hospital with two broken ribs. With the double vision comes a strange malady, the ability to see a true image of ordinary people who are really werewolves. Dismissing the abnormality as a fluke, he isn't convinced until he visits an old friend. Wolves attack them. Norton sees the creatures as they really are, humans that have been transformed into werewolves. The werewolves kill his friend and Cecil barely escapes. He begins a daring attempt to find out who the werewolves really are and what they are up to before he loses his talent.
