About the Author

After getting degrees in anthropology, psychology, and medical science,Cameron Macauley spent almost two decades overseas working in disasterrelief and international health. Subsequently he worked in public health and specialized in the treatment of psychological trauma in survivorsof war-related violence. He is currently Trauma RehabilitationSpecialist at the Center for International Stabilization and Recovery at James Madison University. During his career he has worked in a refugee camp in Thailand, a besieged city in Angola, a Yanomami Indian villagein Brazil, and a mission hospital in Sumatra. His first novel, Citadelof Ice, was the completion of a novel his father Robie Macauley had been working on at his death in 1995.
