The Problem with Monsters tells the story of a little boy who is determined to go to bed. As he drifts off to sleep he hears noises in the room. When he awakes, he finds monsters playing with his toys and tickling his feet. The little boy wants nothing more than to go to sleep, so he hops out of bed and when he turns on his light, the monsters start to wish a goodnight. Thinking he can get some sleep, the light goes off and the monsters awaken and grow noisier. This back and forth game makes the little boy grow even more tired. By the time he comes to the realization that the monsters sleep during the day, and at night they're all play...is it too late for a good night's sleep?
