About the Author

A. J. Marquess has been writing some novel or other since she was ten years old. She's one of those people who has to write, whether the story is going to be published or not. Stories tend to fill her head and take over the spaces she needs to work in if she doesn't. She spent rather longer than was strictly necessary or sane as a graduate student in the Department of Classical Studies at the University of Florida and holds degrees in Classics and Teaching. She has worked as a computer programmer in her spare time, designed costumes for renaissance faires and science fiction conventions, raised goats, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs, cats, and tropical fish. She currently lives somewhere in East Tennessee with her fiance and their ducks, geese, dogs, cats, goldfish, and guppies.
