The Welcome Guest of Avenel and Other Charming Ghost Stories

This is the July 17, 2020 paperback release of The Welcome Guest of Avenel and four of the other endearingly charming ghost stories from The November Country anthology... - The other stories include: A Short Phantasy - Jeremy Brett meets Mr. Sherlock Holmes, Doombaley - Have You Ever Seen The Rain?, and The Docent - The Shade Lady of Leneva. - This story, The Welcome Guest of Avenel, was originally written in 2002 for a short story contest in Bedford, Virginia, was later made into a short movie by the same name which is available from Amazon.com. - This story is set in the year 2015, at a reenactment in the home, where re-enactors meet the ghost of Robert E. Lee in the actual Lee Bedroom upstairs. - At the time, they think he is just a living historian playing the part of Lee. Little do they know...- We filmed a documentary of the home in October of 2003 (Robert E. Lee actually visited the home in October of 1867!) and we made a short film about this story at the same time, and by the same name, entitled The Welcome Guest of Avenel.- It was during the making of this film in the Fall of 2003 that we actually photographed the very fully materialized form of the woman known as the famous White Lady Ghost of Avenel on November 1, 2003. This photo is available in the documentary of the Avenel house entitled Portrait of a Plantation 2009, also from Amazon.com (plantation.yolasite.com).
