Shapeshifters, or the Faceless, as some refer to them, are the last surviors of an ancient race at the brink of extinction. End'horis, a young descendant of the mysterious Faceless, convinces the Council of Elders to take immediate action in order to prevent the definitive extermination of their race. They must take control over the civilization, comprised of humans and other races, by infiltrating their circles and taking the place of monarchs and leaders. By inciting chaos and war, they seek revenge for having been chased away from their lands centuries ago. Their ultimate objective is nothing else but to force these races to submit to them by seizing power from the behind the curtain. End’horis devises a shrewd plan to take over the most influential empire in the north, the duchy of Therwold. However, fate intervenes by sending Noan, an experienced Inquisitor, who will fight him in order to save the duchy and possibly the whole northern realm.
