When the German professor and expert on ancient cults, Sebastian Roth, hears the news about an isolated village in Northern Austria called Moorbach, whose inhabitants go missing one by one, he suspects an abnormally violent group, known as ‘The Devotees of the Nameless God’, to be responsible for these mysterious disappearances. He experienced first-hand, how the cultists torment the minds of their victims with their wicked methods and swore to put an end to their evil schemes. Together with his partner, the French detective Pierre Dupont, and the help of certain Moorbach residents, Sebastian investigates the gloomy bog surrounding the remote hamlet and soon discovers, that it is haunted by something very inhumane or even unworldly. As the locals’ mental states start to deteriorate without any visible cause, a race against time commences in order to prevent a calamity, which could wipe out the entire village population.
