How like the ocean our dreams are. A deep, dark abyss which can be nourishing to visit...but lethal, should we remain submerged for too long. When a neurologist specializing in dreams is sent to a deep sea research outpost, she discovers there is more to the crew's recurring nightmares than simple cabin fever. Something is reaching out to their minds from the furthest reaches of the cold, black deep. Something which has been waiting patiently, since before recorded history, for humans to return to the sea.
