The Mayhem Monster Adventure

The Mayhem Monster AdventureA hilarious children’s story that will probably get a smile out of parents tooThe plot:Victor and Emma, the Monster Master siblings, keep a secret unknown to adults. Sometimes, Ugly Thoughts from the imagination sneak into the Real World in the form of very naughty and annoying monsters.Luckily for everybody, the Monster Masters’ brilliant ideas keep at bay those playful monsters whenever they manage to come into the Real World.“Help, stop the Mayhem Monster!”Will the Monster Masters be able to get rid of this naughty little monster? What do our children learn with this story? This is a very fun story that not only brings laughter and joy but also conveys some valuable lessons:The value of teamworkThe use of our brains instead of force when we need to solve problems. Will my little kid be scared of these monsters? No way! The little monsters in the Monster Masters series are naughty, cute, funny and endearing, albeit a bit annoying. They were created with little kids in mind, so you will find NO sinister monsters in this series.AgeThis is a short illustrated story recommended for kids up to 7 years old.The authors:Clara Muriel (Author) Soledad Muriel (Illustrator)The stories of the Monster Masters series were born in the "real world".Back in 2017, Clara relocated with her family to the antipodes of what had been home for her kids till then. The move was especially difficult for her eldest son, whose ability to adapt to those huge changes (home, school, language, friends, leaving family) was complicated by his special needs and lack of adequate coping skills.Working through ways to help her son deal with what he was describing as his "bad thoughts" (confusion, making mistakes ...), Clara began transforming them into cute monsters. Thus, those intrusive thoughts and feelings that he could not properly understand or express were no longer abstract entities. They were fairy tale characters to which he could relate and which he could understand. In real life dealing with those intrusive thoughts was difficult, but in the fantasy world, those thoughts-turned-monsters could be overcome. The result has been lots of funny stories full of humor that we share with the world to entertain and amuse children, and even a few adults. And since this project was such a personal journey, there was no better way to bring it to life than having her very talented sister Soledad illustrating all her stories.
