Haunted by her father’s death and what happened to her in the war, retired Canadian Army soldier Karina Lynn Kindrick accepts a job offer presented to her by the Buchanan City Police in Buchanan, Michigan. What was supposed to be an escape from the realistic nightmares she has been plagued with and a chance to relax a little turns into a real-life horror movie, one in which she is unsure if she is the star. When she gets to Buchanan, she falls in love with fellow officer Kevin Knight. Though he is still mourning the loss of his wife, they finally get together. Buchanan had never been known for its murder rate, but as the bodies start to pile up, the BPD has to face a truth that leaves them all unsure of how to stop it. Vampires are running loose in their town. After the vampires turn key political people in the city, any hope for outside help is lost. Not willing to just stand by and allow this to happen, the three surviving cops enlist the help of a professional vampire hunter. He gives them the knowledge and tools they need to even the odds against them. But is it too little too late? When two vampires are warring against each other, what side do you pick? What chance do three human cops and one old vampire hunter stand against two vampire armies? Who will the survivors be when the dust settles?
