The first order of business is to find Natasha. The second is not to kill each other. Those are the rules dominating half-caste and vampire alike since Natasha was abducted by Lucius. Trouble is the only two people who know Lucius was the mystery manipulator behind Helen's foiled plot to take over the city are the missing coven Mistress and Patrick, who does not play well with others. In order for Anton to find Natasha he has to be willing to work with the other people in her life, a tall order since the only thing any of them have in common aside from Natasha is mutual hatred of each other. It is not the vampire's first unlikely alliance, but it may be his last if Patrick has his way. Anton is willing to do whatever it takes to get Natasha back, even if it means everyone else has to die.
