Blue Bird

High-school student, Camilla is grieving the death of her mother. She has spent the summer isolating herself from her friends and avoiding her devastated father, Rick. She doesn't know how she will survive junior year in her home town Stowe, Vermont. Then she meets the mysterious and captivating new student James Williams; whose metallic blue eyes she is inexplicably drawn to. The small town is shaken when multiple murders in the woods are uncovered. As Camilla and James get closer she questions her sanity after she observes his inhuman behavior. Then Camilla discovers that James is a Wendigo: a supernatural being who survives off human flesh. Camilla, far from being frightened, enters into a dangerous romance with her immortal soulmate. She learns that there is history between them that she never could have imagined. Her own mother kept a very dangerous secret. As the deaths in the forest become a regular occurrence, the unlikely pair uncover the surprising perpetrators. James and Camilla must work together to stop them from destroying the town. Provocatively sensuous and extraordinarily suspenseful, Blue Bird explores the struggle between defying our intuition and following our longings. This is a love story for the ages.
