Purgatory: A Rock Star's Journey Into Hell

On the surface Angel Christian had it all. Her Grammy Award-winning band was at the top of the charts and they were hot. But the strain of the last tour, the drugs, the alcohol, and the public pressure was a sucking undertow that threatened to pull everything down. On a break between shows she decides to take a personal trip back home to reconnect with her estranged father. Things had been rough between them for some time. She had missed her own mother’s funeral after all, and the guilt consumed her. Shocked to learn her father no longer lived at home she finds him dying in a nursing home. The short visit goes better than she could hope for, and Angel has a new resolve to quit the tour, buy some property, and care for her dad in his last days. That’s when everything changes. Unexpectedly she finds herself in the dark town of Harmony where nothing is as it seems and Angel is propelled into a nightmare scenario she hardly knew was possible. Fighting for her life she learns the hard truth as the dark threads of her life unravel before her.

Jennifer Nickell is a native of Colorado. She is an avid lover of the Denver Broncos, as well as an animal rights activist. Her love of horror started at a young age with books by Stephen King, Dean Koontz and Mary Higgins Clark. She loves spending time with her boyfriend (family, loved ones) as well as her cat Dexter. She is a lover of zombies, vampires, demons and werewolves. She hopes to write more and is really enjoying the feedback from her fans. Her influences include The Twilight Zone and The Walking Dead. She is obsessed with classic rock, such as the Doors, Pink Floyd and Elvis. She hopes that her mention of these iconic people such as Marilyn Monroe, Elvis and James Dean will bring back a love of a time when legends were made
