In the American west, paleontologists discover a gigantic dinosaur encased in a strange shell like structure. Over the next few decades they study this creature, they even test atomic radiation on him to see how he would react to it. They dub him, “Slogzilla, the True King of the Dinosaurs”. But one day, after eons of being in suspended animation, the creature rises from his sleep, and rampages across the south western states, leaving a path of destruction wherever he goes. The military at first try to their weapons against the beast, but they seem to not harm him. So with the help of Dr. Corbin; he explains that two other creatures similar to slog were kept in L.A.
