Scott is divorced, recently retired and happily single; but not looking for love. In his spare time, he is the unsuccessful author of several tales of murder, mystery and mayhem. One fateful night, on his way to meet up with an old friend, he calls into a local bar, and sees Claire. He is instantly smitten, despite not knowing anything about her. Harmless flirtation becomes obsession, and the more he finds out about this mysterious girl, with eyes of indeterminate colour, the less he likes it. Ultimately, he must decide what price he is willing to pay, for love and fame. The problem is, does he really have a choice at all, especially after killing her boyfriend?
