In a functioning world there must be order and those who keep it. The planet Marien slides in and out of its order far more often than most would think, but that's why she was made. Zifeara Nightshade exists to keep the world working as it should; preventing those who have discovered a way to defy the laws of death from altering their course or the paths of others. She'd always seen her own immortality as a tool of her trade, using it to extinguish the psuedo-immortals cropping up here and there, but lately there's more to it than business. Much more. Slipping between the past and present to keep the timeline consistent isn't as easy as it sounds and when Zifeara's best friend, Fang Nightstalker, convinces her that he should be helping complete her tasks, she has one more thing to worry about. Add a young tiger demon with a firm interest in Zifeara, shapeshifting shenanigans, a madman with grand plans of human enslavement, and a love story gone completely awry into the mix. What you're left with could quite possibly turn out completely demented.
