Robert's Choice is a story about consequences, the consequences of choices. Even though Robert uses occult knowledge and metaphysics to make his choices, he seems always to fail, especially with Monte, the woman he loves. He sees his failures as successes, except for the most important choice of his life. That's why he tricks Willard, who needs a story idea for a novel, into helping him to correct his most recent backfired choice. He tells Willard a story he swears is true to the last word, a story that insults Willard's intelligence. It's a wild story about the Chasers, two rare types of women and his genius friend Arlen Frankenstein. Robert and Lores and Berta are the Chasers, and the man they must stop is Russo Varangian, a merciless killer. Willard doesn't trust Robert from the beginning, but in the end he proves his story is true, and at the same time makes it impossible for Willard to write it. Who would believe it?
