Moonrise

In 1709, Irish settlers find an abandoned well on the Virginia coast and claim the land for their new settlement. But they have no idea that the sacred ground belongs to the Algonquin Indians, who will do anything to recover what is rightfully theirs. As the town is placed under a curse, the colonists cannot imagine the horrors that lay in wait for them. Three hundred years later, the town of Blackwater Hollow has barely grown; its people rarely leave, and strangers never settle there-for the tiny community is still the victim of an evil beast who stalks the residents by the light of the moon. As three sisters bound to each other by their evil fate begin to relive their past, mutilated livestock and half-eaten bodies steadily accumulate. But when Emily Sinclair buys an old plantation house, she is about to be plunged into a nightmare that grows more real by the day. Someone-or something-is terrorizing her.
