“SNOW ANGEL, written by Rose Wood, is a great book. I like this genre of books as they are very exciting and they make me want to keep reading. I like this book because of the way the author makes you think about serious situations that we often take for granted. For example; the child in the story escapes injury or worse but is looked after by their guardian angel. As the story progresses you just want to keep the pages turning to see the outcome. Ultimately, the child sees the need to be thankful to a higher power for looking out for them. Also, the author’s way of portraying the character is excellent through the illustrations as they match the story line perfectly. The medium used to do the illustrations give the story an enchanting look, realistic and not automated or cartoonish. It is written in a way that is understandable to a child in their early reading years. SNOW ANGEL allows children to use a deeper thought process as they question if they themselves have a guardian angel or a higher power watching over them. Especially touching to children who might feel like nobody cares.
