Dohan is lost, though he struggles to find himself while maintaining a sense of sanity, but his deception can’t last for long. Chalas knows of his struggles and she believes in him, believes he can survive the transformation he’s undergoing. Ky also knows of Dohan’s internal battle, but, unlike Chalas, he only prays that he will not have to kill his friend. Only time will tell, but time is their enemy. Will they believe it when they do? It’s doubtful, but this is the world they created and they’re not about to let their planning be undone so easily. Worst of all, they can’t repeat the errors they made a thousand years ago even if their true identities are discovered.
