Awan ultimately uncovers a vast army of the dead he cannot tackle alone. With the help of Winn, Lyman, and Carma, he wages a battle against a religious zealot who requires blood atonement to keep his followers in line. The Dead Kingdom is the tenth title in The Downwinders series. It is a fast-paced ghostly mystery, full of interesting characters, fascinating locations, and terrifying creatures.
