Jocko

The secrets of Marie Laveau reach a climax in a suburb of Chattanooga, Tennessee. A plaster lawn-jockey contains the souls of those not given to Heaven...or Hell. Led by Jocko and The Freemen, these souls inhabit the Middle Realm and develop a taste for blood. Their murderous ways threaten the family of physician Greg Jackson...and anyone else that gets in their way.

About the Author

A.L. Gates is a multi-genre writer and native of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He has been referred to by the Chattanooga Times-Free Press as, "The Master of Cornbread Macabre." The experiences of growing up in the South set the tone for A.L.'s tales. An interest in religion, the supernatural and human frailty inspires many of his writings. A former teacher, he is committed to life-long learning and hopes his writing inspires people to read and enjoy the journey along with him and his 'friends' who whisper their fate to him in his writing space he fondly refers to as 'The Attic'.
