Thomas is a young boy who is struggling after a tragedy took the life of his father and grandmother. His mother, concerned over her sons changing demeanor and recurring nightmares, invites his grandfather to move in with them. Her father, who is struggling as well with the loss of his wife, reluctantly agrees. Thomas soon realizes that the tragedy is not the only thing they have in common. Follow his journey in this supernatural suspense story as he tries to survive school bullies, a plane crash, crocodiles, starvation and the heat of an African savanna all while he is trying to figure out what is real and what is not. Who is trying to kill him and who is trying to protect him. And most importantly, who is the mysterious spirit that keeps visiting him and what is the story behind the one red sock he wears.
