Cariss and Tiny have traversed the Territories for a decade, performing their specialized show in rural taverns. But when Cariss is injured, and Tiny is left no choice but to take her to a witch for healing, they embark on a journey fraught with peril. Can the human con-woman and her ogre business partner figure out her newly discovered ability, and manage to keep a low profile while navigating the dangerous gangster in charge of Portgate? In a world where only women possess magic, and magical creatures are shunned, Cariss will have to overcome obstacles both physical and mental to come out on top...okay, seriously, that last bit was a terrible innuendo. Basically, Cariss has magic in her pants, everybody wants it, and it suddenly dawns on her that she can't figure out if she prefers women or men. And she's almost out of wine. If you don't like your fantasy novels with a bit of violence, humor, sexiness, bad language, inappropriate insults, and downright questionable sexual situations, don't buy this book. Seriously.
