The Diary Of A Grim Reaper

I AM NOT A MURDERER! I do not take out of spite, anger or as a punishment. I do not like what I do, nor do I hate it. I see deadly decisions being made every day and can do nothing to stop them. I watch illness, accidents, suicides and murder. I see unspeakable evil happen every day perpetuated by your kind, yet somehow, I am the one who is feared.I am the Grim Reaper! I am death! What you are about to read is my diary. A collection of the things I have done and the hideous things I have seen. A diary to remind me of the people I have come across and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. Lessons, in some cases, I was never meant to learn.Someone once said that we stop searching for monsters when we realise they live inside us. When you read the word monster, what comes to mind? Maybe your idea of a monster, is me. Monsters are not always what our imagination wants them to be: monsters can be our neighbours or best friends. Monsters may even be in our family. Monsters hide in clear view and, in some cases, we trust them. This is something we are both guilty of.So here I am, day one, my diary. A rare invitation from myself to you. The opportunity to witness death through my eyes. To lose yourself in a world far beyond the beating heart. A chance to delve a little deeper, to remember the incidents time forgets. Join me on my dark path of self-discovery, and I will prove to you that death is closer than you think.
