One year ago, during Mardi Gras, Ash Turner was pulled from the arms of his lover, Jamie Derouen, by men working for her father. Those men drove Ash into the bayou, shot him in the back of the head, and left his corpse for the alligators. About the Author

David R. Michael was born a Yankee but raised all over the South, so he vehemently denies that he speaks with any accent whatsoever. He has been told, however, that many of his characters have a "soft Southern" accent, which really confuses him. They certainly didn't get it from him.
