You are not welcome there. The townspeople do not take kindly to strangers and they are cursed for the one time they did. It happened when Clover was a new settlement, and a young girl had appeared, saying her family had been attacked. Now, she haunts the town for causing her death, and she has cursed them for it. Chris cannot shake the feeling that something is wrong because of the sudden change in Beverly. The feeling continues to grow when, one by one, some of the boys from school begin to disappear. Everyone thinks that the boys have simply run away. Chris can no longer keep her suspicions to herself, but no will believe her. She soon realizes that she alone will have to find out what is really happening.
