The Looking Glass Self is the story of a 16-year old teenager named Eddie Mandarell whose must take a journey of discovery to reach self-actualization and success. Soon after the death of his dear grandfather Pepe, he uncovers the mysterious existence of his late grandfather's ghost who returns to earth through a reversable mirror located in the attic of a historic family mansion. The ghost appears as the physical image of his late grandfather but possesses Eddie's voice. After revealing the purpose of his return, the ghost gives him a medallion, an old Indian artifact that possess mysterious spiritual power. It allows Eddie to undergo a athletic transformation. Overcome by his sudden success, he becomes cocky and obnoxious and loses the support of his lifelong friends, coaches and players. Through the intervention of ghostly encounters, he suffers the heavy cost of ignoring the goodness within his inner self. Will Eddie see his dreams come full circle? Will he finally understand the true purpose of his grandfather's spiritual return? He must make a true transformation through the looking glass in time to save his friendships and help his team to their goal of winning a state football championship.
