Mortimer Valdis believed that his manuscript was worthy of publication, but the literary agency thought otherwise and so with the rejection stinging his pride thus begins a chain of events culminating in associated deaths, whereby the circumstances are recorded to help fill each chapter of the writers new book. Beyond the First Page is a work of fiction, but how many aspiring writers feel emotionally drained and aggrieved, after giving so much of their own life to the content of a book. Valdis is of the opinion that others must suffer as he has suffered, but will the police stop chasing shadows before he picks his next victim. An adult read which sends a message, will keep the reader turning beyond the first page and fire the imagination. The burning question is could it really happen?
