When Kate's husband died, she used the insurance money to move back to her home state of Virginia. She purchased a house that was surrounded by forest on three sides and a view of a small mountain across the street. However, she was not aware that the lot was cut from sacred tribal land. She will soon find out that the forest takes back when you take from the forest. Max is a good older brother who has stepped into his father's role as man of the house. He watches after baby Lizzy and little brother Liam. When Max meets Lee in the library, sparks fly and the two soon become inseparable. Soon things will happen that will challenge even the most skeptical. It is too bad that so much had to be lost along the way. Will they survive the battle with evil? Just when you think it can't get any worse, you find out it can.
