Sherry’s marriage is over but she’s determined to make a new life for herself and her two young children. Not here in Sydney, but in another state. Then her husband, Dave, tells her she has to collect this month’s child support in person – in Albury. What choice does she have? She needs that money, even if getting it adds another five hundred kilometres to her trip. On the bright side, driving to her new home via Albury will take her through Thredbo. Sherry has always wanted to see Australia's "ski capital", and now she is a single mother this may be her only chance. So she packs everything she and her children need for the long drive. What could go wrong? Well, a storm that follows her down Mount Kosciuszko, for a start. She’ll just have to make sure she gets across all those river crossings before they flood. And the grasslands are beautiful, if a little lonely. The paved road soon gives way to dirt, and Sherry and her young children are very much alone out here. It's enough to make a person imagine things. It is her imagination- isn't it?
