Chelsea, her husband Nick, and their daughter Jessica have been living in Burns Hollow for a few years now. The bumps and flickers of shadows she experiences in the house have just become part of the "charm" of living in their small rural town. Never quite welcomed by the close knit community in Maryland they have kept to themselves and lived a relatively quiet life. When a chance visit from a family friend unearths a horrifying, long forgotten mystery that creates a ripple effect tying the long buried past of Burns Hollow to its present. As secrets come to light from every direction no one in the town is left unaffected, not even Chelsea, as she is forced to reveal a secret she has kept since childhood to aid in the investigation of a cold case. Chelsea must put aside her own fears and reservations or other lives may be at stake.
