One stormy night Jessie Redmans goes to stay at a hotel, Unbettered Mansions. But what she doesn't know is that ten years earlier, her mother was murdered there and her sister Mary left to rot in the cellar by the sadistic owners, Myra and Jeffrey. Jessie goes to Belling town to find out what happened to her family, only to find that she has entered a living nightmare created by Charlotte, full of gruesome and sadistic murders, zombies and creatures. Can she ever prevail? This powerful work, part horror story and part morality tale, shows that good can indeed triumph against evil. Matthew Mugridge lives in Hastings, East Sussex. Inspiration to start writing was from Stephen King's Misery; he is especially fond of the subsequent film adaptation and hopes his present and future novels will one day be used for film just as successfully.
