Chelsea O’Day is eighteen, sensitive, and artistic. Stressing over summer school, she’s also coping with her father's death, her mother's remarriage, a bratty stepbrother, and a neighborhood of bullies and jocks. To make matters worse, sudden mood swings and violent temper tantrums set in, alarming her family and alienating her friends. Things start looking up for Chelsea when the school’s star athlete shows an interest in her--until this angers his vindictive long-time girlfriend. Amidst all this chaos, the music of Chelsea’s favorite rock star, Goth-styled bad-boy Ian Magick, is her only relief. She’s obsessed with listening to him during every spare moment. Until he begins communicating with her through his music…asking her to kill.
