When writer Bill Smith's publisher challenged him to write a better, but different ghost story based on his real experiences he set out to explore the strange world of the occult. To this end he and his wife, Fiona, went to boldly investigate Ouija, haunted Essex walks and a seance or two. Finally he and Fiona together with a medium, (a dear old lady and former Soho stripper) and a whisky drinking Publicity consultant are given a weeks stay in an old house. It was guaranteed not to be haunted. Not even a small phantom, not a bump in the night nor any sort of supernatural goings on. It looks as though they were mistaken. Did Bill Smith write his novel?
