On October 7, 1849, Edgar Allan Poe did not die.Upon his release from the hospital on October 9, Edgar is penniless, ashamed and suffering from writer’s block. All around him, the world is changing in a whirlwind of industry and invention, but he is stuck; the same old Edgar, the same old problems. His future seems bleak and Edgar wants nothing more than to leave his entire life behind. Reeling with the new information, Edgar feels he is left with no choice but to act.
