Anger of the Fallen

Their power was forgotten and through time became myth. Rituals, symbols, and scriptures hide a terrifying truth: Seven Seals are all that keep the apocalypse at bay. Azrael, Horseman of Death and angel in exile, has wandered Earth for ages. His sole drive, the only thing that keeps him from going dormant, is a decades-old quest for vengeance. Yet when a mysterious benefactor provides him with the opportunity to fulfill this, he is pushed into a role that places him at odds with his own nature. This mysterious benefactor, Drake Norxten, considers mankind has forfeited any sort of redemption, and sees no point in waiting for the apocalypse. To bring forth the end of days, he has made an uneasy partnership with a dark cult, which helps him locate Death, who holds one of two keys needed to open the First Seal— his scythe. They already have the first one. Gwen, a journalist hell-bent on exposing The Obsidian, a demonic cult that took her father’s life, has found a lead that might save another person from the same fate. Once she sneaks into one of their secret congregations, she will discover more than she bargained for. As their stories converge, they will find that the Seven Seals guard a terrible secret other than the apocalypse.
