About the Author

David Patrick Maurer was born at a very young age in a little town called Port Huron, Michigan, which was and is a lot like Stephen King's fictional town of Derry, after most of the stores and restaurants closed and the jobs went away. (The monsters, however, stayed and eventually became members of the city council. This happens everywhere.)Dave began writing when he was 10, when his folks bought him a Brother manual typewriter for Christmas. He hasn't stopped since.Maurer also designs and paints his own story covers on a PC, writes his own theme song (and a lot of other songs), playing guitar and bass and keys and bloody awful drums, singing like a cat being run through a car wash.He currently lives with his wife, two children, and an ever-increasing number of animals in the wilds of Ohio, where the monsters don't even pretend to be anything else.
