Intuitive seventeen-year old Kevin Kenney has a reoccurring nightmare about the upcoming hunting trip to Maine. In this dream, Kevin is being chased by a large, black apelike creature who tells him it will see him in Maine. These dreams now haunt Kevin as the hunting trip unfolds in the 1977 Maine wilderness. The shooting of a Bigfoot type creature on the second day of the trip begins a terrifying ordeal as seven men battle both the elements and Bigfoot creatures for survival. An early morning battle between the hunters and the forest creatures leave one man dead, their only form of radio communication broken and the rest of the men traveling to a new location for survival. To reach this new location and possible rescue the men must cross a stream and battle the revenge filled Bigfoot creatures along the way. Once the remaining men reach the cabin, they must await a possible rescue and continued harrassment by the forest creatures. How many of the hunters will survive until rescue arrives? The final battle in the field answers these questions and more.
