This novel describes a summer Steve and his two best friends Jack and Angela will never forget. It all started with an innocent ghost story, only the friends found out it wasn't so innocent. Being thrown from a haunted dock by a ghost is definitely not the way to start a summer! However, Steve realizes that an unwanted guest follows him home, but not just one. He begins to understand that if he doesn't solve the mystery soon he won't make it to sixteen.
