A Domain of Painted Shadows: Case 2 of The Numinous Watch

Rivencombe is the largest settlement west of the old wall. It is a charming sort of city, situated on the northern shore of the peninsula and surrounded by idyllic pastoral landscapes. When the sun sets though, the locals are careful to remain indoors, or behind city walls. After all, the surrounding land is very old, with a deep and bloody history. Inland from the coast, there are desolate moorlands that most fear to tread. Something dark and predatory is stirring in the heart of these forgotten places.Since the recent business at Eidolon Manor, Chloe has been quietly searching for a new place to call home. Her search for a suitably cursed abode has brought her west to Rivencombe. She soon finds herself in the company of a rather eccentric artist, and it doesn't take long for troubling insights and rumors to begin to surface. With the aid of this artist, and a handful of other associates, Chloe finds herself drawn into the investigation of a growing curse upon the land. In such a domain of monsters, a typical human would have little chance of survival. Chloe is not typical. She's not entirely human either.
