About the Author

Peter H. Brothers is an actor, director, playwright, poet, public speaker and author of three books: Mushroom Clouds and Mushroom Men: The Fantastic Cinema of Ishiro Honda, Devil Bat Diary - The Journal of Johnny Layton and Terror In Tinseltown - The Sequel to Devil Bat Diary.Born in Long Beach in 1953 (the day Joseph Stalin died), Peter saw the film Godzilla, King of the Monsters! when he was seven years old, and the event had a profound effect upon him.  In the intervening years, Peter has written numerous articles on Japanese fantasy films for numerous publications.  He is currently writing a book on the making of the first Godzilla film, Gojira (1954).His book on Ishiro Honda is the first and only book in English on the acclaimed yet little-researched director.  He has also spent many years acting in community theatre productions and has written three plays.  He has directed live-action performances and has lectured on Honda's movies at various conventions and organizations.He lives with his family in Agoura Hills, California.
